Peyton's 4yr Pictures - ALL BOY Layout

Here's a scrap layout I did for Peyton's 4yr pictures. They are by far my favorite ever taken of him. My amazing friend Robyn took them for me. Hope you like them.

Carter turned 8! 8/25/09

My sweet Baby Boy turned eight last month. I can't believe how time flies.

I remember when he was born.
I remember how he hated being swaddled. :) He was claustrophobic even as a newborn.
I remember how he used to sleep with his arms over his head. He still does sometimes. I remember the first time he had candy. He was almost one. He had it on the 4th of July at the Magna park. He was in a red basketball jersey. He had a Dum Dum. So cute.
I remember his first day at preschool. He was so nervous and so brave.
I remember so much about my baby. I try to never forget.

A few of my favorite things about this sweet boy are:
How he calls Swiss cheese Swoosh cheese. lol
He used to call a backpack a pack pack.
How he has such a big and loving heart.
How much he loves babies.
How he can melt my heart every time he tells me he loves me.
How happy he makes his brother.
How when Peyton was a baby Carter was the only one that could make him laugh.

These are just a few of my favorite things about my baby. I'm so proud of him! I love him more and more every day. Happy Birthday Baby Boy. We love you.

Lagoon! 8/8/09

I can't believe how behind I let myself get! I'll try to post a few things today. Okay, so on the 8th of August we went to Lagoon. We'd been trying to go for weeks but this was the only one that worked out for us. We were dreading it at the same time because it had been SO HOT. Luckily for us, it was cool that day! I think low 80's. Perfect for me. That meant no complaining kids! My mom, dad, sister, and Jeff went with us too. We packed coolers and came well prepared. We didn't even buy one thing!! I was so proud of us!

Good Times and Girlfriends

Last night I got together with a couple good friends of mine, Jen and Steph to put our Scentsy convention goodie bags together. We're making them for our team members who are going. We definitely bit off more than we could chew!! We were working non-stop from 5-11!!! Crazy! I think we did a pretty good job considering how much we laugh and giggle. We made these cute little wall hangings. I love them!

Swimming Lessons

The boys took swimming lessons on July 6th to the 16th. The loved it. Peyton had a rough couple of days but after we got him some goggles like Brother then he did great!!

Bee's Game

Christine bought all of us Bee's tickets for my dad for Father's Day. It was so much fun! We rode Trax to the game (the boys favorite part). We had the most perfect tickets. Ride behind home plate in the shade!! I think we were on row 10 or something. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

4th of July

Here are a few pictures from the 4th of July. Carter was with his dad but he was in all of our thoughts all day. I missed him so much. I hope he had fun camping!
We went to the Tooele parade in the morning while Clay was at work and then went to my Mom & Dad's house afterward for a bbq and horseshoes. We watched fireworks from the back deck. The weather was perfect!

Birthday Party for Don & Ronda

The last weekend in June we went to Don & Ronda's house for their birthday party. The whole family came. We played some funny game with golf balls hooked on a rope. I forget what it's called. It was so much fun. Ronda made a Mexican fiesta dinner that was AMAZING. I always eat triple the amount of food I usually do when I'm there. Yum. I hope they both had a great birthday!! Love you guys!

Girls Night Out

So Jen, Beth and I decided we needed to get together for Steph's birthday. We went to Johnny Carino's for some yummy food. We went to Bath & Body works and tried on about a million different lip glosses. Of course we got some. So if you see us and our lips are shiny then that's why. :) We had to go to Zurcher's to get some stuff for our Scentsy Convention next month. Needless to say, we found some trouble. You never know what we're going to do. I got a great stomach workout by laughing so much. I can always count on these girls!

Father's Day

Today Clay got home from his Long Day of golf at 9:30 this morning. Peyton and I were still in bed!!! :) It was great. We then visited his dad for a while (I forgot my camera!!) and then went to dinner at my sister and Jeff's house. It was so much fun! We had a roast, carrots, potatoes, rolls, funeral potatoes, peach pie, and coffee cake with ice cream!! I was so full. I ate EVERYTHING. Carter was with his dad today and I was a little down because of it. I miss him so much!
I just wanted to say how lucky I am to have such amazing men in my life. Clay is the best dad and he's so loving with the boys. My dad. Wow. What can I say? Those that know him know that I couldn't have asked for better. He's always been there for me - no matter what. I don't know what I'd do without him. My grandpa. Well, he still acts and looks like he's 60. He's amazingly strong and healthy! Keep it up Grandpa!!! I love all of you so much.
Hope everyone had a great Father's Day!

Day at the Zoo

My good friend Allie asked if Peyton and I would like to go to the zoo with her, Jack, and Tessa on Thursday. Of course we jumped at the chance!! It was iffy whether or not it would rain on us but we lucked out. It was a little cool at times but it's better than melting!!! Allie brought the wagon (our savior) and we took turns pushing and pulling it up the hills. I tell you, I got quite a work out! Peyton loved seeing all of the animals of course. He kept saying he couldn't wait until we go as an entire family. Hopefully we'll be able to go soon. Thanks Allie, Jack, and Tessa for a great day!!

update

Well, where to start. I've missed over a month so I'll update as much as I can. It's not in chronological order so bear with me. Just as I think of everything. :)

Carter came home one weekend from his dad's and ha the stomach bug. He was sick for about a week. Peyton picked it up and got sick for TWO WEEKS. Serious. It was ridiculous. Three weeks of sick kids.

Clay got me a new set of golf clubs for my birthday! Callaway Big Bertha irons. Oh, I got a new driver too. Callaway 450. (Same as Clint's!) I also got a new golf bag. I know, I'm spoiled.

We're just getting ready to take our first camping trip this weekend. I promise pics will follow. Our trailer is over 30 years old so we needed some repairs. Clay luckily turned handy overnight and fixed the toilet and the running of our pump.

Clay is in two golf Men's Leagues. He golfs about 3 or 4 times a week. (Talk about spoiled!!) He's loving it and he definitely deserves it.

That's all I can think of for now. I promise I'll post Sunday or Monday with camping pictures. Thanks for being patient.

Imagine That

So I found this awesome new blog called Imagine That. Formerly known as Everything Cricut. Please visit this site for tons of new information and techniques. I love it!

Fab 5

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantee you will like what I make for you.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a song. It may be a self-portrait or maybe even some creation I haven't dreamed up. I may draw. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! But let's be honest here. This is me and I will likely do something amazing.=) So come on, sign up!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first five people to post this same blog on their blog and then leave a comment telling me they did will win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me. Let's keep the chain of love going around!!

Lunch With The Girls

Today Peyton and I went to lunch with some girlfriends from high school. It was so nice to get together again! We haven't done it since October and it was good to get into the groove again. I love all of you and hope more can make it next time!

Oh, I just have to say, I'm so proud of my baby boy. We picked up Tiffany on the way to lunch and got to chatting. I don't think we stopped until we parked. I open up the door and tell Peyton he was so quiet and good I almost forgot he was with us. He said, "That's because you guys were talking Mommy." What a good boy! He didn't interrupt us once! Then at lunch he somehow bit his own finger while shoving tortilla in his mouth. He must have bit it pretty hard. All the sudden I look at him and his face is purple. He's trying to hold in his cries so he's not loud in the restaurant. Can you believe it? He said he was trying to be a "good boy". I tell you. This kid deserves an award. I don't know what I did to have him as my son. Someone is definitely looking out for me.

Love you Peyton!

January Recap

I've been MIA in the blogging world and I'll do my best to catch up. I don't know how some of you do it. :)

Carter is doing great in school. He brought home his report card and he received all 4's. :) That's straight A's to some of us. I'm so proud of him. He tries so hard to be a good boy at school. He's ahead in his reading and his teacher has moved him up a level to really challenge him.

Peyton is growing before my eyes. My baby turned 4 years old on New Year's. I don't know where the time has gone. I guess life flies by when you're happy. He's been practicing his letters (sight and sound) and he's picking it up so fast! He already knows his ABC's and can count to 17. :) After that it goes back to 14. lol

I've been SO SICK. I'm usually the healthy one in the bunch and I go 2 or 3 years without ever really getting sick. It finally got up with me. My temperature was at 104 for 3 days. No strep, just an evil, evil bug.

Clay and I have been trying to eat healthier and lose a few of those holiday pounds. Clay is really stepping it up. He runs on the treadmill EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm so proud of him. He loses 3-4 pounds a week. (That makes me mad/jealous) Well, not really mad. But sort of. :D Clay has lost his little belly and he's still looking to drop another 9 pounds.

Clay is working like crazy. His job is so tough on his body and he does it without ever complaining. I know he hates it but he does it so I can stay home with Peyton. Hopefully he'll be able to find something else once the kids are in school and I can start working again.

Well, that's us in a nutshell. :)
